A small textile series inspired by the forms and patterns of public lands.
Wildlands translates the patterns of wild landscapes into hand-drawn bandanas—textile studies exploring color, landform, and ecological character through graphic abstraction and everyday cloth.
Created with deep appreciation for the landscapes themselves and for the people who help care for them.
Wildlands is a small textile design project that distills natural landscapes into hand-drawn bandana studies. Each piece begins as a place-based observation, abstracted into pattern, line, and color through an iterative design process.
Developed under Wild Collected studio, the project emphasizes thoughtful material choice and responsible production, collaborating with professional printers to produce limited screenprinted runs on organic cotton using water-based inks.
Explored as small retail objects and shared with park staff, wildland firefighters, and others who care for these landscapes.
Wildlands is developed with deep respect for public lands and a long-term commitment to supporting their stewardship.
Wildlands bandanas are developed through a layered design and color-separation process, with each study refined for clarity, durability, and screenprint translation—balancing graphic precision with the tactile qualities of cloth.
Production is carried out in collaboration with professional printers using 100% organic cotton and water-based inks. Material choices prioritize longevity and reduced environmental impact while supporting everyday use.
The series continues as an open exploration of pattern, abstraction, and landscape form through textile design.
Wildlands is an ongoing design practice developed under Wild Collected. Conservation-aligned collaborations or project notes are always welcome.
