Strata + rhythm + depth.
This study translates the canyon’s layered geology into a horizontal composition shaped by desert light. Warm strata, stepped planes, and a restrained sun suggest scale, depth, and geologic rhythm as light moves across rock at the edge of day.
Grand Canyon is built from repeating cues—planes, steps, and long horizontal runs that imply depth. Refined layers keep the composition minimal while preserving complexity, so it feels structured but not rigid.
